Melt - The Electric Orgasm

AN INTERACTIVE INFINITY MIRROR INSTALLATION

The Electric Orgasm is an infinity mirror featuring dense LED Neon strip lighting programmed to operate in two modes - standby slow pulsing mode and interactive rapture mode. When viewers approach it a sequence of dense LED rope lighting is triggered by sensors to produce the effect of a rapid pulsing orgasm for a minute, The Electric Orgasm is an equilateral triangular shaped infinity mirror assembly 55x55x55 inches in size.

The work was featured at the 2018 Seattle Erotic Art Festival and in the 2018 Luminescence show at the Burnaby Deer Lake Gallery. My inspiration for this work is the Orgasming Vagina in neon presented at Art Basel Miami by Suzy Kellems Dominik.
